FT FEELER: Atkinson P-Bass (Sonic Blue)

I can't believe I'm even doing this as a feeler, but then...you all know how it goes sometimes. I LOVE this bass, but am for my own reasons wondering what I might be able to trade it for. This is assembled by TB'er Dan Atkinson - if you don't know his work, feel free to do a search. He basically does vintage-style "Fender" basses, and that's exactly what this is.

AllParts body and neck, nitro Sonic Blue (very light relic), J-width neck, nicely rolled edges on the fretboard, Duncan SPB-1, etc. This bass is featured in the gallery on Dan's website, and I think it was one of the earlier builds he did. It's a GREAT player, and I've both gigged it and recorded with it. The only thing I'm not completely in love with is the slightly chunkier neck profile (typical AllParts shape; just doesn't fit my hand quite as well as some necks do). These basses go for about 895 from Dan, just to give an idea of value. I might consider a trade for two basses, or for one, or I could add a little cash for the right deal.

Things I like: vintage Fenders, vintage-style Fenders, Gibson basses, semi-hollowbody basses......

Things I don't really like: "modern" style basses, 5 or 6 strings, fretless, etc. (no offense; it's just not how I roll)

I may change my mind tomorrow, but you never know. More pics or info available on request.

...so I just saw a bass I really want. For today, I would also take 650 cash for this bass. May retract that offer later.

Thanks for looking.

Tuesday bump. Willing to trade for Fender reissue P's, older Gibsons/Epiphones, maybe Harmony H-22 or similar. If you have a pink paisley or blue flower Fender reissue.......mmm. (Yeah, I'm one of those guys.) In all cases, I can add a little cash.

Would also consider trading the neck from this bass for a nice P neck that's 1 5/8 or 1 3/4" (something like one of the reissues described above).

Thanks! Representin' the rock in central Iowa.

Thought I had a great trade deal lined up but sadly it fell through. So back to the top - see earlier post for what I'm looking for.

Sorry - forgot to mention that. Comes with a Gator hardshell case. Nothing fancy, but does the job well.

Thursday bump. A little bit weary of people making offers that sound solid and then backing out, but I'm trying to be understanding too.....I guess I've been there.

Feel free to ask questions or make offers.

I am TRULY astonished that this bass hasn't sold yet !

Hell, if I had the extra $$$ I'd buy it....and I can build my own ! This is a scorching good deal.

Any interest in a 72 mustang (lots of finish wear, but a great player), plus a little cash on your end?
