FT Feeler - Birdsong Cortobass shortscale for Fender Jazz

I have a custom made short scale Birdsong Cortobass. Beautifully made but I'm really jonesing for the Jazz tone. The value of the Cortobass is $1800. I'm looking to trade for a Jazz-style bass (Fender, Sadowsky, Lull, G&L, anything that feels/plays/sounds like a Fender jazz) of comparable value or a trade plus cash deal. (I'm also looking for a 1x12 cabinet so we could possibly include that in the trade.)

If you've ever wanted a shorty, here's your chance to get a custom made one.

These pics show the bass having a zero-fret which the bass no longer has. I had Brian of Birdsong guitars put on a different neck, without the zero-fret, after these pictures were taken.

new day. the wait to get one of these made for you is probably about a year. you can get it now, no wait.

excellent sound, excellent feel, excellent playability. you won't play a better shorty.

I would keep it but don't have the funds to just add basses. if i need a bass, i have to sell one to get another.

I'm also open to a simple cash purchase, if the trade idea doesn't work.
