I really like the bass so this is a feeler as I am looking for another 4-string. First, this bass has a BRAND new neck as the one that it came with had a slight "twist" in the neck which kept the bass from having as low action past the 12th fret or so. The neck is still playable but I got two different luthiers to look at it and long story short, new neck. Here are the deets: Alder body, black finish with tort and black pickguards, 9.5 lbs on the scale, Neck has a RW board, SS frets, Ivory tusq nut, satin finish on back of the neck, matching blk headstock with ICON headstock shape. Active setup with J99A's and all the other typical SB5000 features, OHSC. (I'll include the old birdseye maple neck too).
What I am looking for (I'll trade up for the right bass):
Rickenbacker's, Suhr Jazz (alder/rw), Nordy VJ4 (alder,rw), Lull 4's, F-bass VF4 or BN4 (long shot but hey..), Musicman 30th anniversary, I'd entertain Nash, Ben Lindsey (60's), etc.
**now posting for sale/trade at $1050 shipped FIRM with the old neck and extra pickguard**

You can probably order these knobs.

What type are they? | All good man.. I think they are the same knobs as Sadowsky and a few others I have seen. They came on the bass when I got it from a TB'er that sold it elsewhere.

Nice bass...I have enough trouble with 4 strings though. |
