For Trade:
Early 2000’s MIM Fender 5-string Jazz Bass
Good condition with new DR Low Rider strings. Only real “flaw” with it is where the rosewood was cracked between the truss rod nut and the back side of the nut. It came from the previous owner not using an “L” shaped Allen wrench and putting too much pressure on the truss rod opening and causing the wood to crack. The crack has been repaired, sanded smooth, and resealed. You have to look real hard to notice the flaw. I can take a picture if needed. Otherwise paint and body is in good shape with a few minor scuffs/scratches.
I believe that it’s all stock with the exception of a 4-ply tort pickguard. I think that it has the stock bridge but it does seem like a thicker than average (about an 1/8” thick) bent bridge than I’m used to seeing. The string spacing is closer to 17.5 – 18mm. It’s not 19mm. It sounds and plays great. It’s just not getting the love that it should be lately.
Looking to trade for a different 5-string. Particularly interested in a G&L L2500 Tribute but I’m open to all offers. Comes with a Fender gig bag. Willing to add cash if needed for the right deal.
Opening this up to 4-string offers. Would be interested in a Lakland 44-01 or a 4-string Fender jazz in particular.
PM me with any offers/questions.
