FT Feeler:EBMM Sterling 4H

I can't believe I'm doing it, but I'm contemplating moving on from my one and only.

I bought it used in mint condition in 2004. Since then, it has had thousands of hours of play time and traveled thousands of miles, but is still in very good to excellent shape. There is a hairline crack in the finish near the bridge, and a couple of dings in the top of the neck. I also had to replace the screw and washer on the D string tuner. It isn't a perfect match, but functions just fine and never bothered me enough to track down the correct part or replace the tuner so I left it as-is. I will get pictures later on this evening or tomorrow.

The only reason I'm even thinking about doing this is that I've moved to six strings, and she isn't getting enough play time. I love this bass. I can only make a guess on the weight, but I would say a little under nine pounds.

The OHSC is included, but it is in rougher condition.

Stuff I am interested in for trades:

2x3015LF
Zoom B3
Orange TB amps
Six stringers

If I do a straight sale, I would be looking to get around $800. On trades, I'm pretty open to everything. Hit me with what you got!

Pictures bump!

The hairline crack is from the corner of the bridge to the pickguard, and a couple of small scuffs just above the bridge.

More pictures

The back has some extremely minor scratches, nothing through the clear coat. It's amazing there's really no more than this for as many hours as it's been around my neck. Also, the two dings in on the top of the neck.

Part three

The headstock and back of the neck. Nothing too exciting, the neck is one of the more basic looking Sterling necks I've ever seen, but it's the best feeling one I've held. I just realized I need to take a picture of the back of the tuners.

Did you ever get around to taking pics of the D string tuner fix?

Here is a pic of the back of the headstock. Notice the different screw in the d string tuner and the white mark next to it. I had never noticed that before I took the pic, and I will do my best to clean it off.

No, don't do it! You'll be mad at yourself.

You're probably right, but it isn't getting the play time it deserves, and I've honestly moved away from the sound of it and I'm kind of fond of six strings these days.

I'm not just interested in basses on trades. Guitar amps (heads and combos), bass heads (no combos), woodworking tools, computers, I have tons of interests and hobbies and I wouldn't mind adding some money for the right gear.

This will be my last bump, thinking of taking it back off the market. Some more trades I would consider are:

Mesa M6 or M9
Shuttlemax 9.2
MB800

As always, I'm more than willing to accept partial trades for the right stuff, and to add a little green on my end if needed.
