I am testing the waters to see what may be available as a trade for this bass. I have had this bass since 1999 and have taken the utmost care of it...really, this thing is in top shape with very little wear. I have the original tweed case (in great shape). The only "mod" I have made is to add straplocks. Else, all original.
It's a 1998 model so it doesn't have the asymmetrical neck. It weighs in around 10 lbs, so it's a load. The Teal Green Metallic was I believe the version that Roscoe Beck advertised in all the publications for Fender...really a great looking bass. There is a review from Bass Player magazine available on the Roscoe Beck website.
Trades that are of particular interest are:
2008 Fender American Standard Precision 5 (white or sunburst)
Lakland 55-02 (tobacco sunburst especially)
I've got three other jazz basses so I'm full on those.
