I bought this awhile back, and due to home remodeling projects, cannot seem to get the wifely OK to get it fixed. In the mean time I'm getting gaseous over Spector-type things.
This is a well played but definitely not abused 90something ASAT. When I got it I thought a fret job would do the neck, but there is no one local (aberdeen, sd) that I want to do it.
I then talked to the luthier at marguerites music in fargo, nd. He said it would probably need a full refret, and possibly have the heel end of the fretboard shaved. He said this would run between $200. And $300.
The problem is a rise (ski-jump) at the heel end of the neck.
It's driving me nuts to have it around and not be able to use it, and I don't see me having any play money before summer.
Looking to trade for something spector. Maybe a rebop, or even a legend with some cash? Obviously I'm not able to add any cash, or the neck would already be done on the ASAT... Condition of the spector would not have to be visually perfect, but I need one I don't have to put any money into to use.
I'll leave this up for awhile, and if there's no interest, I have no problem holding onto it; just rather have some immediate gratification
