Picked this up from craigb, it is awesome! I think I have found the 'p-tone' I have wanted, and it is from the SB series. Here is the info from craig:
G&L SB-2 fretless
- unlined ebony board
- 1.5" nut width, satin neck
- 8.0lbs
- Lake placid blue
- 3-bolt neck
- stacked master vol/J-pickup vol and tone
- some wear (small dings, dents, etc.) but looks good and plays very sweetly
- hard case
A very nice fretless SB2. The lack of frets gets rid of a lot of the "clank" that an SB2 can produce (one of the reason I always put tone controls on my SB2s) and it can snarl/mwah nicely. I just don't play it very often and would rather have greater fretted variety available to me than a fretless right now.

I rewired it to stack P vol/ J vol, tone. Great tones all around. Currently strung with Thomastik flats and sounds great!
Looking for a fretted version SB-2 or SB-1. Hope it has the tone mod, if not it is simple wiring for me. I have debated about getting another neck so I can have both fretted and fretless but I don't see myself playing the fretless as much. Straight sale I am asking 670.00 shipped.
