FT Feeler: MM Bongo Stealth 5

Sign in to disble this ad
Just got this last week, and while I really do like the variety of tones available from the 4 band EQ, the string spacing is a little on the tight side for my tastes. Overall condition is very good. No scratches, rash, etc. I did find one spot on the headstock where it appears to have been scratched and then touched up, also, the 2 top screws on the pickguard have lost thier "stealth", they are now on the shiny chrome side, other than that, a very clean bass. It's got the MM HS case, also very clean, with key and MM polishing cloth.

As far as trades,... I'm very open. I've been on somewhat of a bass binge and purge lately, so hit me up with just about anything. Preferably 5ers or 6ers, fretted or fretless.

This is a feeler only thread, so if nothing really tempting comes along, she'll stay with me and I won't feel a bit bad about keeping her! Will try to get some more pics up in the next day or so. Thanks for looking, and no, the MTD is NOT for trade or sale.

How would you compare the sound to your MTD and do you have any interest in selling the Bongo?

^ The MTD and the bongo are night and day as far as tone. The Bongo actually has a much wider tone spectrum IMHO. The 4 band EQ is pretty amazing, from huge dub, to cut through everything zing. I run it fairly flat with both mids just slightly bumped. And no, not really interested in selling at this point, trades only for now.

If it were a 5, we'd be talking. I just don't play 4's anymore. Have tried 2 nice 4 bangers recently and I wind up missing the B. Nice fretless, good luck to us both on our quests for bass nirvana!
