FT Feeler- MTD 635-24 Tulipwood / Wenge

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello friends,

At this point I am posting this as a feeler-

Up for (possible) trade is my beloved MTD 635-25- It is a tulipwood body/ curly maple top / and a 1 piece wenge neck-board. Classic combination, absolutely killer tone. The bass has a very even tone from the low B to the highest C and punches like a ton of bricks- a very special bass. I am the original owner and have had this since 1999 as my main player.

The bass is in excellent condition- not perfect, it has been played and gigged and there are some dings (nothing to wood or severe). Setup and playability are A++.

I would only consider trades for the other MTD 635-24 combinations- I am particularly interested in Avadore/Wenge...

So here are a few pics- and send your trade offers my way!! I may come to my senses, but it can't hurt to test the waters

No your not crazy. Take a look at this Avadorie beauty. This one belongs to Mr Kotzsman. I have been after this for a while. What a sound. good Luck.

Sithian, that bass looks incredible considering that it is ten years old! If that were mine, I might even be buried with it!

I love any bass that has a wenge neck! You can't get a bad tone with wenge!

Sorry Evan!

And thanks for the bumps guys-

There is 10 years of fat tone packed into this bass- it is in superb condition for a '99er...

At the risk of being redundant - just beautiful. Do you know how much she weighs? Do you have a FS price in mind?

99.9% of MTD basses are 35" scale- 34" scalers are out there (and Michael may make them custom) but they are VERY few and far between- i saw one on here a few months back-

No problem if you're an MTD fan ! At least, I tried !

Just in case : The bass I could possibly be exchanging is a JPbasses Naïa 6er.

Have a nice day,

Nuf, aka Paul
