The reason I am not selling outright is because it would take a very special bass to replace this - and I don't want to buy new. I haven't found a replacement yet, which is why I want to hold onto it for a trade.

I would still consider trading for an Avadore/Wenge or Ash/Walnut 635-24... would still pain me to part with it though!

Up for (possible) trade is my beloved MTD 635-25- It is a tulipwood body/ curly maple top / and a 1 piece wenge neck-board. Classic combination, absolutely killer tone. The bass has a very even tone from the low B to the highest C and punches like a ton of bricks- a very special bass. I am the original owner and have had this since 1999 as my main player.

The bass is in excellent condition- not perfect, it has been played and gigged and there are some dings (nothing to wood or severe). Setup and playability are A++.

I would only consider trades for the other MTD 635-24 combinations- I am particularly interested in Avadore/Wenge...

So here are a few pics- and send your trade offers my way!! I may come to my senses, but it can't hurt to test the waters

Something just magical about his signature in gold on the back of a wenge neck....

Cheers,
Cameron

Thread Resurrection

Figured I'd bump this one - it's been a while- Obviously I am not in a hurry to move this along, but in case there is renewed interest...

Interested in something like this? Newer and same neck. Sharp looking 535-21.

So true- Which is why I am only looking at other MTD 635-24s

I know my trade request is a long shot- Avodire MTD's don't come around too often (see first post of thread)

That is the beauty of MTD's - Different wood combos = different tones- such a beautiful thing-

I am going to keep this after all- This has been my main player for way to long to let it go- I just can't do it-
