I got this little guy not too long ago on a lucky find out of town and couldnt pass it up. It is an early 70s (before they changed the logo and placement of the serial number, and has the heart shaped tuners) Fender Musicmaster that is in pretty good shape for being 40+ years old. No joke, played this next to a friends P Bass and it can keep up just fine!
It was originally a Daphne Blue and turned into the seafoam color you see now. The pickguard has gone from white to off white and it is completely original. Only things on it that are broken is a cracked pickguard (common), volume knob is a bit beat up (pot works great!), and the nut is chipped a little (doesnt affect quality at all). My local shop, (Fret Shop in Huntsville, AL) checked it out and gave it the run down and a slight set up. New Fender strings on it. It has the typical 70s wear you would see on a bass that was played. Looks great though.
All original!
I am trying to find something more my style, as I am leaning towards playing music with more a Rage Against The Machine feel...I need something a bit more versatile and full length, but I love this shorty for what it is!
If you would be interested in a trade, PM me. I may consider a straight out sale if someone wants it bad enough but I don't have a price in mind. So If i get enough bites in that area I will update with a fair price.
Thanks!
