FT Feeler: My L2000 for your Stingray

Sign in to disble this ad
I had a Stingray some time ago, sold it and downgraded for extra cash to go to Egypt. Been playing an ATK and Frankenjazz for a while, finally got my hands on a G&L L2000. It's beautiful, and full sounding, and I love it. But looking back, I reeeally miss my Stingray.

My G&L:
Maple
Tobacco Sunburst (?)
OHSC

Desired Stingray:
Maple
OHSC
4-string
Bonus points for two pickups

I'm mostly posting this to just keep in the archives, in case someone comes along looking for the deal. Cash can be used to even up if necessary.

Email would be faster: ericbennetts@gmail.com

Tributes don't come with hardshell cases. Also, I doubt anyone would try to trade a Tribute for a Ray.

True, but you never know

Actually, I forgot I had dealt with EBennets before and realized that surely it wasn't a Tribute.

Several bathroom scale weighings say it's between 9.5 and 10 pounds. The measures a very jazzy 1 1/2" at the nut I think I saw that gives it a radius of 12"

Not necessarily. G&L has two Jazz-width necks available - the #6 neck has a 7.5" "vintage" radius while the #8 neck has the 12" radius. #8s seem to be more common these days, so you're probably correct about the 12" radius, but you can't assume that to be the case.

Wouldn't the 7.5" be drastically curvedier?
How do I measure that? I don't own a set of radial calipers.

Yes 7.5 is much "curvier", comparing your L2k to mine the radius looks the same which would be 12" radius.

Only if there pops up a Stingray at the exact same time that I could use the money from the sale. Sounds tricky..

No, is the quick answer
