I just bought this bass from TB'er dcr and honestly it's everything I had hoped for. Unfortunately I'm finding after playing it everyday for the last week that I'm just not comfortable with the 34.5" scale. I thought that I could deal with the 1/2" longer stretch but my left hand is hurting and I guess I need to stick with 34" scale basses.
So I'd like to see if anybody out there is interested in a possible trade for a 34" scale 5 string of comparable value. Top of my list would be an Xotic XJ1T-5, Sadowsky NYC 5 or a Fodera NYC 5 but I'll listen to any reasonable trade ideas. I would also consider lower value 5 strings + cash.

PM me with any questions or offers! Thanks for looking...............
Here is the bass porn that you have likely seen before if you frequent these classifieds!

Keep those offers coming please. Lower price basses plus some cash would work fine too.

dcr | Ha, well thanks for the kind words Doug. I really like this bass but I have to be comfortable when I play and the longer scale does cause me some left hand pain.
For you young guys, this is what happens when you get past 60!

Don't pass up a chance to own this amazing custom built Nordstrand. You all know what kind of basses Carey builds and this model is the "top of the line".
If you've ever played a Nordstrand then you should have a pretty good idea of what kind of attention to detail went into building this bass.
It has killer looks and amazingly versatile tone. With playability that only Carey can deliver.

Anybody else wanna play?
So far I've been offered some beautiful 34" scale basses including a Fodera NYC 5, Esh 5, Marleaux Consat 5, M Bass 5 and an Xotic XB-2 5.
Any others out there? |

I want to thank all of you who contacted me with trade offers.
It was a tough decision but the Xotic NB-2 5 string won out. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
