Hey ya'll, I have a great bass here that's not seen all that often. It's a German-made 1994 Warwick Streamer bolt-on 4string, essentially the predecessor to the LX Streamer line. Curvaceous French cherry body, 5 piece flame maple and bubinga neck, MEC PJ pups, push/pull volume, pickup blend, treble and bass. Great neck, straight, super fast and thin but still comfortable. 24 fret wenge board with frets in great shape. Some very small dings here and there in the natural wax/oil body, slight thumb wear on body above neck pickup-really hard to photograph.
When I received it, I immediately got a setup ( straight w/ low action), fret polish, fret edge rounding, heavy wax to the body and lots of lemon-oil on that board. The laminations in the neck were detail sanded and waxed several times over. The volume pot and board have been replaced with brand new MEC parts. Also, the truss rod was so strong the edge of the fret board on the treble side of the nut was beginning to peel off-this was professionally fixed and is invisible and stronger than ever. Probably weighs around 8-9lbs and very well balanced. Tight compressed tone, very Stuart Zender-ish. Has the Warwick growl! A drummer at a jazz gig described it as "more bite than a Barq's!"
What I'm interested in....
LAKLAND BASSES-4string, 5string, stock, Modded, retro, modern, clean., beat-up, whatever.... I have a really nice 76 P-bass, so not really interested in Duck Dunns or Glaubs, but that's about it.
Please don't offer anything outside of what I'm interested in, I will not respond. Let me know what you got!
