Ok, so I'm pretty sure I'm a 4 string player. more specifically I think PJ setups work for me best(although Jazz basses tend to tickle my fancy as well). So, I'm going to put up a feeler trade for my 5 string singlecut R-bass.
I'm looking for PJ or Jazz basses, preferably 4 string, if 5 string it must have a 34 inch scale.
Price added....
1900 shipped and insured in the lower 48 with a gig bag, OBO.
Will include a set of used but still somewhat lively steel strings and a set of 5 MTD style knobs if you want to have the pre-amp rewired for the 5 knob layout.
details:
5 string, 19mm spacing
34 inch scale
Ash/walnut/ figured chestnut body
maple/walnut 5 piece bolt on neck
ebony board w/walnut(?) dots
rosewood pickup covers and headstock accent
Nordstrand MM and big Single pickups
Aguilar OBP-3 Preamp
Black Hipshot hardware
Dunlop straplocks
24 frets (currently strung E-C, but can be switched back without an adjustment to the nut)
weighs right around 10 lbs on my bathroom scale

....Whoever installed the Aggie preamp did so with a stacked pot, so there is a dummy nob currently.
There was also a tiny crack repaired at the end of the fret board under the B string(24th fret area) wouldn't be noticeable unless mentioned and dosn't affect anything.
Anyone who knows me, knows I absolutely LOVE Ray's work as a luthier, but I want to see what is out there.
Sadowsky, Lakland, Nordy, etc.... Cash +/- as necessary.

Price added and trades updated
Don't hesitate to make offers, I know she is intimidatingly beautiful, but I will listen to trades and trades+cash.

If anyone would like sound clips, I have a full hour and 45 minute set recorded with this bass and could send a link or a file. It sounds awesome!....the term "musicman on steroids" isn't used much, but is appropriate here.
