Closed - Opened up a FS thread - FS/FT: Roscoe SKB-3005 - Cocobolo Beauty!

I'm on the fence about this as this is a great bass that plays and looks stellar. My problem? It keeps sitting second-string to my Sadowsky MV5. Despite it's great looks, playability and sound, I'm more acclimated to the neck diminsions and string spacing of the Sadowsky. I also find myself preferring the Sadowsky pre.

So...guess what I'm looking for? That's right, a Sadowsky. An NYC 5-24 to be exact (maybe, just maybe a Metro). About the only thing I can think of that I don't want is one that has anything besides the Sadowsky soapbars in it; not interested in Big Singles or other pickups. I'm not interested in any other basses or an outright sale at this time. This would obviously be a transaction requiring the addition of cash on my end (unless we went the Metro route, of course).

The specs:
Model: 2007 SKB-3005
Top: Exhibition Grade Cocobolo
Body: Spanish Cedar
Finish: Natural Gloss
Preamp: Bartolini 3-Way/18V
Pickups: Bartolini
Neck: 3-piece all quartersawn maple/purpleheart/maple bolt-on neck with single-action trussrod and dual graphite rod reinforcement
String Spacing: Standard 18mm
Fingerboard: Exhibition Grade Cocobolo, Fretted
12th Fret Inlay: Standard
Nut: Diamondwood
Hardware: Black
Case: OEM Hardshell
Weight: 9.2 lbs on the bathroom scale

Worth mentioning:
Pickups show some string wear
Small ding on the top by where your forearm rests
Tuner for the A-string has abrasion along one side
Slight wear visible on the bridge
Original knobs replaced with cocobolo knobs - originals retained and bass will ship with both included

Thumbs up Great Bass

My old bass and I wish I had a Sadowsky to trade for it.

Bar none...the finest bass I've ever played.
Easy to set up with ridiculously low action.

If your thinking about it don't hesitate.
Fantastic bass and Kerry is a great guy to do business with.

Thanks Dennis! This is really a great bass for sure. It's likely that I regret this should something transpire.

While I'd really like a fancy, schmancy top, I might could be convinced to go for a Metro. It just depends. Either way, if you've got something that says "Sadowsky" on the headstock and it's a Modern, hit me up. Have cash available to add for the right NYC though.

Meanwhile, check out this FB...

I'm not a huge Roscoe fan, but this is by far the most beautiful one I have ever seen IMHO. Best of luck with the sale
