FT Feeler: Sadowsky Metro RV5

I'm not feeling the 5 string thing. I keep buying 5 strings thinking that eventually I'll be into it, but no deals.

Sadowsky Metro RV5

This is an excellent bass. It plays, looks and sounds excellent. Olympic white with tort pickguard and rosewood fretboard. It's got the Sadowsky preamp with the VTC control and single coil pickups. Fretwork and neck are flawless. It balances so nice too, no neck dive at all. Man, they really make a nice bass over at Sadowsky. The only flaws are a slight small crack in the finish where you rest your right forearm that you have to really look for (the last owner wasn't even aware of it when he sold it to me and listed the bass as "mint") and a slight scratch on the back of the neck around the 12th fret. Neither affects tone or playability. This bass really nails the Jazz on steroids thing perfectly. It sounds huge! If it were a 4 string, I'd be keeping it. Comes with the super nice Sadowsky soft case (I love this case so much that I'm going to buy one for another bass I own).

The only thing I'm looking for in trade is a Lakland USA Joe Osborn 4 string. I'd prefer one with a unique finish if possible, but not a deal breaker. The photo was taken by the previous owner and the condition is exactly the same as when he sold it to me. It's never been gigged by me and only taken out of the house a handful of times to go to my bass lessons. PM me if you want to straight out buy it.

This was my introduction to Sadowsky basses and the definition of Fender on steroids or HUGE. Super guy to deal with.

Thanks Bob! Thanks Mike! I appreciate the bumps.

I've read all the PMs and will get back to you all shortly. I have a possible deal pending and want to be sure before I turn any other offers down. Thanks for all the replies.

On its way to San Diego. I wish I was going too. It's 46 degrees here right now.
