FT Feeler: Sadowsky RV5 24

Just picked this up in a trade and while this is easily one of the most playable Sadowsky I've ever played and in great condition... I just can't get use to the sound of the Humcancelling Pickups. My last Sadowsky had Lollar Singles and LOVED, but I was really looking for a more Modern sound with this bass and pickup set, something along the lines of EMG or MTD Barts. I really didn't get that out of the bass and I'm not too sure I want to go swapping pickups or modifying a perfectly good bass just yet. Just wanted to put a feeler for anything out there, here are the specs I'm looking for:

34" Scale
5 String
19mm Spacing preferred
Willing to +/- Cash for the right deal.

Here's a link to exactly what the bass looks like, will snap photos when I get home this evening after Valentine's Dinner.

How would you describe the tone of the humcancelling pickups it has in it? I've never encountered them before.

Nice. My dream bass. I have two Metros but would love a 24 fret.

Got a couple of really tempting offers already. Also, I would be willing to add a

MUSICMAN STINGRAY 5 STRING FRETLESS W/ PIEZO

..... for the right deal. Pics will hopefully be up before tomorrow morning.

I think have come down with LEJ fever! There's one I currently have my eye on. That's really the only trade that's speaking to me right now. Also updating with a Sale Price of $2200.

Taking a look at some of the other Sadowsky basses for sale now and wanted to make my price a little more competitive $2100 shipped CONUS. Possible Trade for an LEJ fell through. May put up on the Ebay later today if I have the time.

Lots of interest, but I'm not sure if I've found anything I'm looking for yet.

Wow, got some great Trade offers yesterday. I've had a few people asking if I had any clips of the instrument or if slapping was difficult on it. I put together a 3 minute clip over a Bacardi Campechano last night. Sloppy and tasteless, but not trying to impress.. just trying to show all the sounds available with a few adjustments to the pickup pan. Clip starts off with the bridge pickup favored, then to neck pickup favored, centered, and back to bridge. No effects or EQ added on my recorder, just some slight reverb. Tried to cycle threw as many styles as possible including some slapping which is effortless as opposed to something like an HH Stingray or something. I can't decide to name the clip "Slop-apalooza '13" or "GC Wank by a 9 year old"... I think maybe the first.... I wouldn't want to insult 9 year olds.

A couple of good offers still coming in, but I'm not really too big on Extended Scale basses.. I've owned a few great 35" scales, but ended up not having the hand stamina for 3 sets of lower position playing. May end up keeping this in the end, played a gig where we got a recording from the board and really dug how well my sound sat in the mix. Going to keep this up for a bit longer to see if I get a good trade offer.
