I have had this bass for several years now. The combination of an ash body, 34 inch scale, neck-thru design, and jazz pickups, have always made it a favorite. I have been told that these well built basses were only made for a brief period and are increasingly hard to find. The Korean made Epiphone Expert was made in the early 90's, and is by no means your "typical" Epiphone. It currently has J99 pickups, a Carvin/Hipshot style bridge, and a flat out awesome Kawai active (vol, bass, treble, blend) preamp. I have the original hardware and electronics, but there is no comparison. It would be a breeze to go all original, but the question would be WHY.
My reason for listing is to see what, if any trade interest there is. My only drawback on this wonderful playing and sounding 6 string jazz bass is the narrow string spacing. 16mm at the bridge. After playing 18-19mm, there is really no turning back for me. Although because of the sound, it still ends up in my hands often. It has been played. there are multiple light surface nicks, scratches and minor dings but nothing that is severe or even possible to be seen with my limited photography skills.
