Still not sure I want to do this but I'm going to put this up anyway. This is a very very very tentative feeler.
This is a 1967 Fender Precision Bass with a genuine Fender July 1962 Jazz neck. The bass was professionally refinished and had the frozen trussrod replaced by another vintage Fender truss rod (or so I was told) The bass is finished in nitro with a matching headstock. There is a small cigarette burn.
There are currently no holes drilled in the bass for bridge or pickup covers.
The electronics are not original. There is a debate as to whether these are early SD quarter pounders or a Schecter pickup from the 70s. Either way it sounds great.
Pickguard is obviously not original. The bass was drilled for a period correct guard which I didn't like the look of. I replaced it with a gold 57 RI Fender guard with some wear on it and did not drill any new holes for the pickguard. Sticker is easily removable.
The tuners are 67 Fender tuners. One of the tuners lost a screw and a replacement was made.
The bass itself is super light weight. I mean it, its like a feather. I brought this bass to the International G2G and got nothing but compliments on its looks, playability, and tone. Same goes for when I bring it out to a gig. Bass is strung with TI flats.
I'm already kicking myself in the ass for this as its one of my main basses, however I'm itching for a Mesa Boogie 400+ again.
The only trade I'll take is for a 400+ +cash from you, hopefully the Mesa is in a roadcase as well with some extra spots in it.
Here's a gig picture until I get some proper ones
