Hello all,
Here we have the Jazz bass to end all Jazz basses. I received this about a month ago, and it KILLS. Beautiful to look at, and amazing tone. From what I can tell, the construction is as follows:
-Alder body w/ some sort of tobaccoburst
-Wenge neck and fingerboard
-Seymour Duncan Antiquity Jazz pickups
-Hipshot bridge
-Grover tuners
The tone is gnarly, to say the least. Thunderous lows, grinding mids, and clear highs that aren't harsh. I did all the EQ'ing on my amp, and I feel like this bass gives more output than an active G&L. Unfortunately, I find myself needing more strings and have no money with which to purchase a 5 or 6 string.
The trade list is as follows. I really like this bass, so these are the only basses I will trade for. If the right bass doesn't come up, I have no qualms whatsoever about keeping this bass. It does everything I could ever need from a 4 string and it looks classy to boot.
-Warwick 5 or 6 string (fretted or fretless) A Corvette would likely be in the right price range.
-Peavey Cirrus 5 or 6 string (fretted or fretless)
-Hollowbody/Semi-hollowbody basses
That's about it... I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.
