I’m putting out a trade feeler for my Yamaha bass.
This is a Japanese made Yamaha TRB-5PII... their top-of-the-line bass that comes in either 5 or 6 string models. It features: Neck-thru construction, Ebony fret-board, Alnico V pickups, Individual bridge saddles equipped with a piezo pickup, 5-piece neck constructed of maple and mahogany, 35-inch scale and 24-frets.
I’ve owned this bass for about 6 years, and have taken excellent care of it. It’s a great player… very versatile. It can be very aggressive (Robert Trujillo), great for funk/groove (Stu Zender), or warm and smooth for jazz/fusion (Abe Laboriel).
Cosmetically, I rank it a 9.5 / 10. The only blemish on the bass is a very small scratch by the nut on the headstock, which is so light it doesn’t show up in the pictures. Other than that, no dings, dents, chips, or anything of the sort.
As far as I know, Japan has stopped exporting these basses... special order through Yamaha only. In the US, this is a very rare bass.
I'm not interested in selling at this time... only trades. I would be interested in comparable 5-strings (or 6-string), such as: MTD 535, Modulus Quantum, Lakland 55-94, Roscoe SKB 3005... along those lines. But will consider any legitimate offer. I am also willing to do a +/- $$$ on the trade depending on the offer.
I've include many pics, for those that are interested. I believe in full disclosure and honesty, so feel free to PM me if you have any questions. Thanks for looking.
