FT: Fender Aerodyne Jazz (P + J)

This is the Japan-only "gun metal gray" with black PG. The only way to get this bass is to import it or buy it used from someone who has.

I think it's the best looking color scheme of all the Aerodynes. Recently set up by Mike Lull. It's a GREAT bass. I'll post the Bass Player review when I find it.

Hofner 500/1 bass...vintage or reissue (sunburst only)
32" scale (or shorter) bass with 4 strings, min 22 frets

yes, you can get the *import* version at music123 for $799

--BUT--

that version looks like "ass" (to me at least): black, no PG, rear mounted controls
you would have to pay shipping from japan to get this one
this one has been professionally set up by mike lull
comes with gator lightweight case (like the sadowsky lightweight case)

I must say, I'm not a Fender guy. Never saw the appeal.. But these have got to be some of the best looking Fenders ever made. I'd love to check it out if I was closer...

thanks! it is indeed a beauty. the knobs are really cool too. Solid stainless steel + with heavy/smooth action...feels like you're turning knobs on an ultra high end stereo system.

Please clarify. In the OP you have a $775 sale price and in the above post it's $749.
