FT: Fender Highway One Jazz

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm getting really bored of playing a Fender Jazz Bass.

If anyone wants to trade... here are some things I would consider:

Epiphone Jack Cassidy, Thunderbird, Grabber, Ripper
Gibson EB, Thunderbird, Grabber, Ripper
Fender P bass - Japanese or higher
G&L
Ernie Ball

This is an all original first edition Highway One Jazz in transparent red. It has been worn with regular playing and gigs over the past 6-7 years. It basically looks like a road worn Jazz, but this is the real deal. No deliberate relicing here.

Somebody wants to trade for this beautiful Jazz bass. This bass is solid, stays in tune very VERY well. Better than any bass I've ever owned. I'm just so terribly bored with it. If I could afford to, I would just buy another bass. But I'm in the process of buying a new tube amp, I'd like to just straight up trade for another bass.

Does this have the Badass bridge?
And would you be at all interested in an Ibanez BTB 5 String? It's the original model in the brown. Bartolini pickups and 18 volt pre-amp, sounds incredible!

I too am wondering about the bridge. I've always wanted one of these basses, a point about them that always got me was that they came with the Leo Quan....

The first few years of Highway 1 (not One) basses did not have Badass bridges.

This bass never had a badass bridge. Like i said, it's the first edition of the Highway One. Nothing has ever been changed on this bass except the strings.

still up for a trade.

a Highway 1 P-bass for my Jazz would be great. equally beat up nitro finish would be even better.

edit: might also trade up for a American Standard P (and some cash, of course)

A lot of the confusion here may be from the misunderstanding and misuse of the names Highway 1, and Highway ONE ... they are two totally different instruments, from two different eras ... the Hwy 1 was from 2003 to early/mid 2006, and the Hwy ONE was from
early/mid 2006 until it was recently discontinued earlier this year ... in fact the earliest of the Hwy 1's did not even have the Greasebucket circuitry that the Hwy Series became noted for ...

... free ride up

really? didn't realize there was a "1" and "one" difference, I knew there were 2 different highway models, pre-badassII and post-badassII.

i'm assuming pre-badassII is "highway 1" whereas post-badassII is "highway one"??

either way, it has no Badass II and no greasebucket tone circuitry. I may have found a trade for this bass anyways. This may be the last time to the top.
