The bass is mint, no issues, killer tone, playability etc. It is passive or active with the flick of a switch, 9v preamp, loud active tone. I run it passive most the time. It is a good one. It has been upgraded with a aguilar preamp instead of the stock preamp, makes it sound much better than before. No issues with the bass it has been gigged it is alittle heavier but thats typical of marcus miller jazz bass's. comes with a hardshell case as well.
