FT/FS: 1977 Ibanez Rickenbacker 4001 Lawsuit Copy

So after having this for a bit I decided I'm not a huge fan on how this bass feels. Looks and sounds great, just isn't for me, especially as I've found bass nirvana with my ATK700. I have a friend who may be interested in buying it from me, but I wanted to put out a FT feeler thread just to see what came by.

Pics and info are located here: NBD - 1977 Ibanez Rickenbacker lawsuit copy

In terms of what I'd be interested in, I don't really know... I like Ibanez and that's about the only thing that stays consistent with me Also like Gibsons but I don't really have money to add on my side.

I paid $550 for the bass, strung it with new D'Addario Nickel Wounds and had my great tech guy give it a much needed setup with a bit of neck shimming, so I'd put the trade value around $600. Just seeing what's out there... thanks

Now for sale too. I'd like to get $600 for it. No profit, just my money spent returned. I can meet anyone in the Baltimore/DC area. As far as shipping, I don't have a box or a case to ship this in. I would get one of those double walled guitar boxes from UPS ($20) and bubble wrap it myself and put it inside the box. So shipping would be $20 + actual cost of shipping. I'd prefer to just do it in person.

Is this a neck through? From the pics it looks like a bolt on.

It is a bolt on. Seems that the neck being a bolt on and the headstock label saying Ibanez are really the 2 main differences between this and a true Rick

After more thinking it's now also for sale. See original post!

I'd also be pretty interested in taking a Peavey T-40 + cash.

Bump. Have a growing desire to own a P-Bass again, depending on if the look fancies my taste!

Action is usually dependent on the set up and this is currently set up like I love my basses, very little curve in the neck and low action.

I've received lots of trade offers but unfortunately nothing that I'm gassing too hard for. I believe someone from CL might be coming next Monday to take this thing with cash.

Still interested in any type of p-basses, and now specifically G&Ls because I change my mind every day! Also cool looking warmoths and maybe some others.
