Little is known about this brand,Azalea..except the fact that it's a great, great J copy. smooth, organic, warm passive J bass...alot of fun, always inspires me..it's now my apartment bass/home studio bass..since I have 4 J's at this time, it never gets gigged..this could be a "main" axe, it was mine for a while..I used to have it wired in series and it was fun..thick and solid sounding. Now rewired in traditional j style.
I still love her...a cool bass, very heavy hardware,
slightly oversized,high mass body,from the grain, I'd say alder or ash,I think..not sure..nice gloss finish,VERY clean..
comes with "decent" gigbag.
$140 is really nice for this bass, she's alot of fun..kinda looking for a cool trade, something with different pu's maybe.
come try her in my midtown studio if u like.
this one gets the least use, so I'm thinking of trading for a 5 string. or buying an SX or something to learn 5'er on.
any 5 string fretted bass is ok,any trades?

why don't u ring up Matt at FBB Custom?
he's a fantastic guy,and will build you a "mini-Jive" style like mine..
the specs.. Four string fretted Mini-jive
Koa top (from a windfallen koa tree), spanish cedar back
maple/canarywood/jatoba 5 piece neck
laminated marblewood/bubinga fingerboard 32" scale
Bartolini 9JCB Classic J bass pickups with Bartolini NTBT preamp (active/passive)
Goncalo alves headstock veneer,
Koa/zebra knobs,morado trussrod cover.
6.5lbs
Matt is a very trustworthy builder and businessman, and is cheaper than anyone out there, and should have "fodera" or "Sadowsky" status, but he's too unique and unusual..not very mainstream..but oooo, the tone on that thing!
u can get one for maybe $1300ish..

I had this wired in series, I'd play her both pu's full up,in seriers, so i could have a master Volume knob live, for volume swells, quick mutes,etc..
but then sold her briefly, the new owner rewired her traditionally, but no soldering.
I can solder them, if u really want it changed.
my wife and I both went to audio school and are ok with a soldering iron,
but basically, the connections are 100% fine,no problems at all,I never really saw reason to, so I left it.I havn't touched it,and the bass performs perfectly.

..although I removed the Azalea logo the first week I had her, the headstock is blank, and clean,no blemishes or scratches. http://cgi.ebay.com/Electric-Bass-Gu...Natural-Stain-
