FT/FS: Custom LPB jazz - nordy/audere

Sign in to disble this ad
This bass was assembled for me by a local luthier from parts that i ordered custom to my specs.

The neck:
Built by USA Custom Guitars
-Quartersawn Maple, Ebony FB
-Truss adjust at the heel
-34", 21 frets
-Corian Nut
-Vintage frets(smaller, 6230)
-12" fretboard radius
-the '62 contour, slim C
-MOP inlays, side and face
-Hiphot HB1 tuners
-Hipshot 3 string bar retainer
-Clear satin nitro finish

The Body:
Warmoth Alder body
LPB nitro finish, has a semi-gloss/leaning toward satin feel
Finish has a chip near the neck pocket as is shown in the final picture. The finish doesn't feel like a traditional fender finish, it's more of a satin-y feel. The pictured chip is the largest chip, and there are a few small "dots" on the back as well as normal scratches. Overall the finish is in fairly good shape but is not pristine.

Electronics:
Nordstrand nj4's
Audere Pre with zmode
All cavities and pg are shielded with copper foil(professional job)

Gotoh bridge, white pearloid pg, dunlop straplocks

professionally assembled. had a recent setup with DR hibeams 40-100, still plenty of life in the strings.

Now, for the business...

I am DFW local and would prefer to keep a deal in this area. I am open to shipping, i expect that to run in the $40-$90 range after packaging and insurance.

Trades:
-No cabs or basses at this time
-pedal pre-amps: fodera or sadowsky
-nicer overdrive/distortion
-ebs pedals

This bass plays like a dream, at least for me it's everything i wanted in a bass. The sound is perfect, bright, punchy, and clear.

This one cost me $1300 after parts, finishing, and the professional assembly.
$950 $850 cash. (+ a shipping deal, depending on distance i will pay some of the associated costs)

I love it, but I also have a 1212L I've been using.

I stripped the carpet off and put a rhino liner on it.
I also have a soft cover....this might be a cool bass for
my Led Zep Tribute...hmmmm

time for a bump, eh?

edit: and by the way, i don't want to dissuade you of your interest in my bass guitar, but the sound is definitely a tad on the clear modern side. I'm not sure it would fit the bill for a zep cover band. however, it is a jazz bass and the jazz tone can be dialed in; i just don't think it would be maximizing the sonic capabilities within.

...I was going out of town for a while and wouldn't have been able to ship it....

This time i'm serious!
Last chance to pick this bass up. If it is not sold in one week, by April 19th, I will begin parting it out.

I can't edit my original post to include shipping, but i'm offering this at $850 shipped conus. I think with this i actually prefer a postal money order, but if you insist on paypal i won't turn your money down.
