FT/FS Feeler - Lakland 44-02 deluxe fretless

Sign in to disble this ad
Ok, here's the deal. I am putting this bass out there to see what interest there is for either a trade (preferred), or a straight sale.

This is a very clean and beautiful Lakland 44-02 Deluxe fretless in Sunburst finish over a quilted maple top. The neck is half sawn rock maple with an lined ebony (real) fretboard.
The pups are Barts, and I believe that the 3 band active/passive electronics package is also Bartolini made.

I am the second owner, so this bass has definitely been played/gigged but this bass has been well taken care of and is in top shape with no serious cosmetic, mechanical/structural or electrical issues. It does have some finish swirls as you would expect from a bass of this age. It is currently strung with TI Jazz Rounds and sounds great.

Why am I selling it ? - I have determined that I am really a Fender guy, and while the bridge pu on this bass gives a nice Jazz bridge pu tone, the other settings (Music Man oriented) just don't appeal.

So, for trade I am pretty much looking for a US Jazz fretless. I might consider a MIM Jazz fretless, but that would require cash to me in the deal.

For sale, lets say $750 to start the conversation (buyer pays shipping).

let me know.

thanks brother, appreciate the good word. It's a very nice bass, and at a fair price too. So, hopefully, there will be someone with a Fender Jazz fretless who wants to do a trade

we'll see

Thanks, I am not totally "sold" on moving this bass, I just feel a true Fender will suit me better. We'll see how it goes.

thanks for the replies .. all pm's replied to.

I will clarify my thoughts on this bass and the offer.

Primary interest is a trade for a late model MIA Fender jazz fretless (std or deluxe or ??).

I'd Prefer a lined rosewood board, but would consider a lined maple one.

If I do not get any reasonable trade offers, I will consider a straight sale, but I am not in any major hurry to sell it.

The price is firm, and I would say very fair.

the bass will come in the levy's gig bag that it came to me in.

I do not use PayPal, only PO Money order.

allright, I am going to bump this one more time and then see where I stand on real trade offers.

To those who have made offers, I appreciate it and have replied to everyone so far. I'm going to let this roll a little longer and see if anything else pops up. I hope to work this out in the coming week.

Thanks for looking
