FT/FS Feeler Yamaha TRB6

I can't believe I'm doing this but here goes.

Yamaha TRB6 the original precursor to the TRBJP. 34" scale, single coils, 24 fret bolt on neck, 3 band active electronics. An incredible playing and sounding bass. Great Jazz Bass tone in a 6 string. Well here is the Yamaha site: http://www.yamaha.com/yamahavgn/CDA/...RODUCT,00.html

These were only made for a few years and are getting rare, and many believe it to be (including me ) the best out of the TRB series.

This bass is in excellent condition (a few knicks and marks) and comes with the original Yamaha case.

Trade: I'm gassing for one of the new Fender American Standard Pbass V's in Black/maple board, same condition.
For sale: $1200obo shipped conus, paypal
Other trade offers considered, 5 string only, equal value or maybe better with cash on my end (Fender style preffered)

I see the price on these is going up, which is fair, but a bummer for me. I had one of these back in the mid 1990's, and it was one of the best basses I ever owned.

I have noticed that as well. Mine is a TRB-6II ('94 or '96) and the build quality is truly excellent. Not sure of the exact history of the TRB's and the TRB II's, but mine is a 34" scale.

Got an unused Aggie OBP3 I was thinking of putting in there, too. I hear all hell breaks loose when you get that thing in there...

They are certainly worth it.

If someone has a black/maple American Standard P5, I think that's quite a fair deal.

Man, do I miss mine...was down on my luck and had to pawn it back in '95 in Clearwater...it was only about a year old. Thankfully, and surprisingly, they gave me $1,300
Would love to have another, but am in a selling mode right now. Best of luck w/ the sale!

Well I no longer need a trade, I just got a killer deal on a new Am Std Precision V from Atlanta Bass Gallery!

I'm probably going to keep the TRB6, but if you gotta have it, give me a shout, we'll talk.
