FT/FS Ken Smith Black Tiger BSR5TN

****SOLD****

This is one of the hardest sale threads I've posted. This bass is killer in every way! Killer tone, amazing playability and the best looking bass I've had my hands on. Pictures don't do it justice. I get compliments every time I play out on the tone and looks.

That said I'm finding more and more that I'm very simply a Jazz bass kinda guy. So this one is up for trade.

I bought this from the original owner who has owned it since it was build in Dec. 2000. It comes with the Original HSC, KS strap, KS polish, polish cloth and New Ken Smith strings.

It has some scratches as you would expect from a 13 year old bass, but nothing serious and nothing that you can see without close examination. The neck pickup has a thumb divot from being played so much, but it is unnoticeable to the eyes.

Widening my trade options. Prefer nice Jazz basses, but would consider something of an MTD535 flavor.
Cash Price is $3299.

I

My apologizes for the photos. All I have currently is an iPhone to take them with.

Thanks Tom! I think this is the prettiest bass I've ever owned. The MTD was close but I thin this beats it.
Lots of trade interest today. No deals made yet so keep em coming

Hey Irhew,
My email is Brantner@goldmail.etsu.edu
I'm more looking for a Traditional J bass, but I'd be happy to take a look at the modern 5
Thanks

Nice bass! So....

No other trades but a Sadowsky? How about a high end 5 string P?

Do you know the weight?

I do not know the weight, but if you like I would be more than happy to go to Fedex or UPS and try it on there scales.

I'm pretty dead set on a Sadowsky Jazz bass currently. I will keep this thread updated if I consider anything else though. I'd love an Alleva Coppolo, but no cash on my end to add makes that unlikely.

Thanks for your interest!
- Neal

A Smith not worthy of an even trade for an Alleva? That just seems wrong! Anyway, beautiful bass. Good luck with the trade.

Thanks bass12. I can't really tell what there going for these days. The 3 of seen in the last 2 weeks have been 3k, 4k and 3800. Don't really know all that much about them, just that they sound good and that I want one lol

Thanks Andy! I've added some more trade bait. I played her for several hours yesterday. The conclusion is I'm gonna regret selling it lol. But gas is a terrible thing, so back to the top!

I keep looking at this bass. Gorgeous and a Smith (just like this one) is on my short list of basses I'd like to check out before I die. But with nothing I want to trade and all my money tied up in pre-orders (a Sadowsky NYC on the way...) that's not going to happen just yet. But again, great looking bass and I wish you luck getting what you want.

You can always trade me your new Sadowsky NYC It's well worth being on your basses to check out list. If I had money for more than 1 boutique bass this would be in the line up without a doubt.
