FT/FS :: MTD Kingston Fretless SOLD!
I picked this Fretless up in September and it's made me realize that I do really like having a fretless on hand. I am about to do a major overhaul on this bass so that I can get more traditional Jazz sounds from it. That's going to entail splitting the Humbucker (with a coil tap) and I'm planning to route this out for a neck pickup. All of that effort that I'm planning is missing the key ingredient TIME. So, with that said, I'm listing it here, but I am really hoping for a very specific trade and that is a Fretless Jazz bass. I really want a VM Squier (the Jaco looking one) but I will consider any fretless Jazz, though I'd like to stay away from a stock SX.
I will consider trades for any Jazz style bass. I would prefer a 4 or 5 string fretless jazz, but would consider a fretted 4 string jazz in a pinch.
This is a great player, and the build quality on the MTD imports is just plain awesome. This bass has a lot of dings, but still looks and plays great. Included with the bass is a Hamer preamp that I bought and planned to install but chose not to go that route. I have a really nice (new) gig bag that I will include with the right deal.
For a cash deal, I would let this go with the preamp and gigbag for $300 shipped.
