FT/FS Musicman Sterling 94 BE/Flame maple awesome

Sign in to disble this ad
Back up on the block.
Up for a feeler trade is a 94' Musicman Sterling.
You would be hard pressed to find another with the amazing
birdseye/flaming in this condition with a adjustable muted flea bridge and only 8.5 Lbs.
Looks like a 1 piece ash body,i can't find a glue line anywhere.
Has had a recent set-up, frets have been crowned, leveled and polished and a fresh set of super slinkys put on.
The action is low with no buzzing anywhere. Come in a HSC.This bass won't dissapoint.
I may trade down with some cash from you for another backup bass.IE Fender MIJ
Looking for in this order:4 or 5er dosn't matter.
Jazz basses
Stingray
Musicman Bongo

Edit: I found another bass i would like to pick-up so $950 shipped to the lower 48

Ok, as far as Fender basses i should have stated i need one with active electronics.
I already have a few passive Fenders so....
J-or P bass deluxe would be first choice
Musicman Stingray single H or HS.
I would also consiter a Cz Spector or Lakkie J.
As far as value i would have to put this one at $1000 shipped, it maybe a little high for the Sterling market right now, but it would be hard to find another 15 year old in this condition with the awesome neck and muted straight pull flea bridge. The new SR retros with the b/e necks are well over 2K.

Thanks Andy,I must be crazy for letting this go, but with the new band i need something
different for a backup. The FSR J in my sig and my 65' J dosen't go gigging.
Too bad you don't have those basses to trade.

Any Fender J deluxes or Lakland J's out their for trade? How about a PJ.

That Sterling is so beautiful. I prefer the Sterling body to the Stingray as well, especially for those long gigs.

Yeah at 8.5lbs this would be a gigging tone machine but shes in such nice condition
i would hate to take it out and get all banged-up.
I know it's part of the Mojo and all, but im analy picky about my basses.

Thanks for the props on the pics! This is an awesome bass, both in it's obvious gorgeousness as well as it's play, not to mention killer tone!

Not sure now why I let this one go, but the next lucky owner is gonna be stoked!

Thanks MrMatt. Yes it is an awesome bass and wish i didn't have to let her go,
unfortunately my needs with the new band has changed.
Maybe i should just throw some flats on it and keep her.

Used to be mine and I miss her dearly. The best bass I've owned besides the Lakland PJ I let go. I wish I had the cash to get this one back.
