FT/FS - R Bass Fretless 5 string neckthrough

Sign in to disble this ad
Traded

This bass is top notch without a doubt amazing build quality very "woody","organic" tone. I dont currently have clips, I have not had the bass that long.

The only small issues are that when I got it someone had filled in little side dots with a paint pen where the fret markers are on 3/5/9/12/etc...(See pic) no big deal at all and they do actually help as the lines are faint on the side when playing. There is no truss rod cover or logo (again see pic)... you can order a custom truss rod cover for like 10-20 bucks ask me where if you like Ill send you a link.

The bass is 35 inch scale neck through
Pau Ferro lined fretboard
Thin Alder body with Cocobolo top and center block in back, Im not sure what the center block on the front is (????)
There are Wenge Runners in the body and I think cocobolo runners in the neck...I think the Cavity cover is also Pau Ferro
Basslines Steve Bailey electronics.

The bass is off the hook, sounds very, very warm and tight, like I said a good word for this is "organic", If I do end up trading or selling this bass whoever gets it will be getting a gem.

Trades: Looking for 4 or 5 string Fretted or Lined Fretless basses in the same price range.

I will sell outright for $1600 (obo) shipped in the CONUS only
Thanks for looking
onto the pics....

My goodness, all these beautiful R basses for sale ...

The neck heel on this bass is a reminder that Ray worked for Carl Thompson a number of years before going on his own. A piece of bass history!

wow this bass doesn't stay in one place for long. Did you get the woo bridge with it? When it was here it was offered I just wondered if it went with it good luck.

bass

Yes I know but it was for sale here and ebay for a long time and the owner was trying to get a saddle made from Ray Rogers . but he put the hipshot on it instead. I just wondered if the original bridge got to Jorg.
