FT/FS: Squier Deluxe Active J V, massive upgrades!

For Sale too, but mainly looking to TRADE!

For Sale Price: $415 shipped.

Lookin to trade for:
Fender MIJ 4 string basses (P/J or P preferred)
Fender Deluxe Precision
I'm open to anything, 4 string a good warm sustaining tone

First off..
I love this bass and I've only had it for about 2 weeks at most (bought from rojo412), but I really want to get another 4 string instead. I just feel the 5th string is not for me.

The sound on this thing is awesome.. really nails that J tone forsure!

-------------------------------------------------------------
THE SQUIERDOWSKY II

It started out as stock Squier DAJV. While a wonderful bass in its own right (amazing tone from the phenolic board, solid wood body, sturdy bridge, etc), it's also a fantastic bass for upgrades.

It has a set of Sadowsky Humcancelling pickups in it. These are a high output pickup and really capture the Hi-Fi super J tone to a tee.

It also has installed an Aguilar OBP-3 preamp in it.

In addition, the bass is set up with 3 push/pull pots for added sonic capabilities. The control layout is:

VOLUME N (pull for series/parallel of the pickups)
VOLUME B (pull for preamp bypass)
TONE (works in both modes)
BASS
MID (pull for mid freq shift)
TREBLE

It's wired 18V (one battery in the battery cavity, one in controls). The bass came with shielding paint, so it's very quiet.
There's also a Hipshot string tree, for easy string changes.

The action is set very low and the neck is dead straight. Slight buzz if you dig in, but smooooooooth playing. There are no pokey-frets and never will be, thanks to the fingerboard material.
19mm Bridge spacing
9.875 lbs
1 scratch by the output jack, very minor nicks here and there, but looks new from 5 feet away.
The switch hole is plugged and was going to be a switch of some sort, but I never got to it. The plug is not glued in and doesn't fall out.
Strings are like new.

You could build yourself one of the new, any day of the week, brand new for $790. But that wouldn't include the labor.

Too bad the 5 wasn't the thing for you. I wish I had a trade to get this back!
This is one amazing sounding bass and I assure the future owner that they'll be thrilled with the tone. I was and I'm picky as hell!

rojo412, I love this thing. It sounds awesome, and I wasn't disappointed one bit with it. I could hit every tone I wanted with it. It's just I don't feel the 5 stringer is for me.

If it trades it trades.. if it doesn't. I'm still going to keep it and maybe by then i'll like the 5 stringer feel
