FS - Stingray 4HH Family Reserve Roasted Maple

Up for sale/trade is my EBMM Stingray 4HH. I saw it, fell immediately in love, and bought it after visiting it at the store a few times. I had to have the GC guys climb all the way up the ladder each time to get it because it was way up high.

Physically, it's in almost perfect shape. I am the only owner and I babied it. It travels once a week down to Wilmington, DE in a Mono double case and rarely gets used. It also gets played on in my basement studio, but not so much when law school is in session. The truss rod turns both ways and the action is reasonable. There are no scratches in the body, and only little lines on the pickguard that get reflected by light. The only imperfection on this bass is a tiny spot where my watch hit the neck during rehearsal (it killed me at the time!) A picture of that is below, with my thumb next to it for comparison. That seriously is the only thing I can find wrong with it.

The darker pictures are more accurate about the neck color. The Ball Family Reserve neck is a pretty dark brown, which is stunning to see. I've gotten a ton of compliments at gigs and practices, from bandmates and strangers. The pictures were taken this morning, but really don't do it justice. You have to see it to understand. The body looks black, but as you can see from one picture, it is red and sparkly in the light.

Tonally, this thing is super mellow, but still versatile. It has the 5-way switch, and runs the gamut. Switch to the neck pickup and turn up the bass a tad and you can't even hear your fingers plucking. Switch back to the bridge and you can get some serious punch. I'd say on the whole it is warmer, though. With this one, it's all about presence. I bring this and my Schecter 004 (a slap machine) and I'm set in any setting.

I'm asking $1,550 $1,475 $1,435 $1,350 shipped in its hard case for the MusicMan. Bank check, money order preferred, Paypal is okay. I hate shipping. Let me know if you're local and let's make a deal.

Trade interests (mainly want to trade down, to offset the cost of a bass I'm buying):

-Nice, preferably light, combo amps
-Berg cabs (2x10, 2x12, 6x10)
-Darkglass B3K

And here's the fun part:

Price drop bump and specific trade interests added. I'm going to hang on to the Schecter for now.
