ft/fs - warmoth, p/j jazz body

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi all,
Just got this. Love it, especially the body- selling because i have my p-needs covered, and not the biggest fan of the neck. And I do need a jazz. wouldn't mind keeping it. So no lowball offers.

Also offering just the neck fs in the accessories thread. If that sells then i'm keeping the body and ordering another neck.

More ft than for fs - any trades I can only add max $100 although i might be able to be convinced otherwise.
fs $750 - shipped in warwick gigbag without strings

specs -
warmoth neck, body

neck - macassar ebony over quilted birdseye
vintage satin tint
hipshot tuners -
beautiful neck, feels great- to play on and very stable. But I don't like the heft on it.

Body - Warmoth body finished in a burst cherry of some sort by marty bell
top is a AAAAA flamed maple over korina - body weighs in at 5.5 lbs
It has several coats, of conductive paint on the inside (original owner did a great job with that)
and has a prewired rothstein passive wiring harness (these run $75)
v/v/t -

THIS BODY IS Pure hotness, looks better than most anything i've seen out there.
was gonna put a clear guard a pre and add 2 more knobs in the Alleva coppola spots. and it would look perfect imo

schaller - 463 bridge, IMO after having both a schaller and hipshot A.
I think they are both excellent and one is not better than the other.

action is perfect and super low as you can see in the pick -

IT has NO PICKUPS. Put whatever you want in there.

previous owner used it as his recording bass and had a fralin pj set in there.

if you want more pics - send me an email -

would be willing to add this bass + an rh450 with footswitch for a really nice jazz -

looking for 34"scale -jazz basses - 4 or 5 (preferably 4)
in trades.

thanks for looking.

p/j

uhm...OK I think I understand your ad.
What is the weight of the bass with the neck attached?
Does the bass have a lot of neck dive because of the "heft" of the neck?
Is it a jazz neck profile?

I wouldn't call it neck dive.
its just that warmoth necks are heavy so it weighs more than I like on the neck side.
Yes its the heft not the tuners. Its something that would happen with any bass with a warmoth neck and there are a lot out there.
jazz profile - neck
i think the bass weighs in at about, 9-10 that's a guesstimate and i don't have a scale

the body itself weights 5lbs 5oz, so whatever it is that warmoth bass necks weigh.
