I bought this recently from here. I love everything about the bass except one thing, the extra string. If I can find the exact same bass but in a 5-string version then I would be set.
This is an older model Corvette (’98) that was made in Germany and has the coveted wenge neck and wenge fret board. It has that definite Warwick growl. The bass came with Bartolini pickups and an Aguilar 3-band preamp when I bought it. What really caught my eye when I purchased this bass was the black hardware. On a natural wood colored bass, I think black hardware beats any other color. Being that the bass is 14 yrs old, it has a couple of nicks and bruises that I pointed out in the pictures. One spot that I forgot to take a picture of is inside the back compartment. I’ll add that picture tonight. While I was soldering in a new pot, the iron touched the black plastic edge. You can only see it with the back cover off. It does not affect playability at all of course.
I’m really just looking for a trade for the following bass:
Older Model Warwick 5-string with a Wenge Neck and preferably a wenge fret board that are active with black hardware.
If I can’t find the Warwick I want here then I’ll just rather sale it.
The sale price is
$1200 with shipping included to the CONUS.
