1993 Yamaha RBX800af (Fretless was an 'option' to the 800a)
Beautiful Transparent Cranberry finish
PJ Pickup format with 2-band onboard EQ.
Currently strung with new Fender Tapewounds
SN: PY23024

Only 2 flaws to bass:
2" or so scratch on back of bass
Pea/Dime sized ding in finish behind top horn on bass (shown in picture)

Comes with original YAMAHA hard case for this specific bass in good condition.



I'll sell the bass outright for $325 Shipped inside Cont. U.S.


Possibly trade for 1 or 2 unit high PowerAmp...

Ya, it's got a definite earthy sound to it with the tapewounds. It was alot crisper with the Roundwounds on it when I traded for it locally. But I was concerned long-term about damage to the fretboard and I was looking for that Ship of Fools/Sade type sound at the time.

did you ever try the halfwounds on it. I put them on my fretless jazz and really enjoyed the hybrid sound after they broke in properly.

I went from the Roundwounds that were on it when I traded for it to the Tapewounds. I hadn't used tapewounds before and wanted to give them a try.

Love their feel and sound so just kept them on it.
