FT or FS Yamaha TRB-6 John Patitucci

I really love this bass, but I purchased it for my GAS trading bass. I want to use it to sell or trade to further my GAS pains. It has a few issues, but nothing really major. I would rate it at 8 out of 10 in cosmetics. It has an ebony fingerboard and ebony has a flaw that it will shrink in dry weather. This caused some hairline cracks way up high on the neck and some fret overhang. Nothing major, but I sent it to a local repair shop to have the fretboard rehydrated and the ends of the frets filed. Not trying to hide any issues, just putting it all out there. Now for the good stuff, this bass flat out kills! It is one of the fastest basses I've ever played and sounds incredible.
Here is the original thread I purchased the bass under: Yamaha TRB-6 John Patitucci

I am asking a $1350, because I have spent a bit more on repair work and it now comes with an iGIG bag(really love this bag!) As far as trades, I am open to just about anything except 4 stringers and narrow spaced 5's and 6's. I am also open to partial trades, plus cash and would let it go without the iGIG bag.

the bass:

I would be interested in the burners if they had wider string spacing.

I really dig this bass, also. I love the looks, the spacing, scale, and definitely the sound of this bass. I really don't have any issues and will most likely kick myself for getting rid of it, but I always like trying new stuff. What gets me about it the most is how fast the neck is...that "B" string is museum quality, too!

Ok Mr.Majestic i understand you if you like trying new stuff,it's a good "fault"
arff,not too old quality on my B string,it's a 34"

I am not really a believer in longer scale equaling better a "B"; I do push CallowHills.

JP

bump for my favorite bass as well!
After getting rid of mine a few times, I came back to the JP...this time is keeper for a LONG time..
I use MTD strings with a 130 B taper....its a wonderful thing..
I also hear very good thing about the Elixir strings.
good luck with the sale
peace

Bump for a bass that I wish I could give a nice, long test run before putting out the cash for it.

Somebody buy this before I do something extremely unpopular on the home front!
