Never heard of these, will have to do some research. It is an interesting looking bass for sure -- headless, neck-through, carbon! Just to confirm, though, you say the scale is 36"?

Played one of these years ago, build quality is incredible, the one I was looking at was four grand, like eighteen years ago. Played great. B.

I can double check the scale -- as far as I know they're 36

I never cared as the dimensions are comfortable - body Is similar to a strat/tele

I've never had intonation issues -,quality basses practically play themselves

On YouTube there are some clips of ray charles' bassist playing them - rare outside of EU as there was no distribution

I played a used fretted Shack that I found sitting here in Chicago at a Guitar Center. It was a 36" scale and was a great instrument. Truly fantastic build. I couldn't believe that it was 36" scale, so I made the guy go into the back and get a ruler. But it was a 36" scale. I was amazed by that because I am extremely sensitive to specs. But that sucker played like butter.

There was a Shack fretless 5 on BassNW for quite a while but it was a 34" scale.

Now, I don't want to rain on your parade, but a 36" scale fretless would be a challenging instrument to play. You should really measure this one to make sure.

Pms replied

I'd be willing to do a single commodity bass+cash.... Would prefer higher end specialty basses - trade+\- cash to make it even

Other interest basses include Roscoe 6&7, Bee, some electric upright, Conklin sidewinder, modulus 6, upper end acoustics are also on the wish list (composite acoustics, larivee, etc)

If the right deal came by id dig into my custom shop USA peaveys or dickens

Thanks for the kind offers - unfortunately 4 average basses for this one would have been unfair and a logistics nightmare

Trade pending

This bass consists of what I want to have: fretless, graphite neck, headless, and 3band EQ.
if it were a single cutaway, it alone would have all I love.. lol
