FS: HMR Custom Exotic Single Cut 5 String!!

Sign in to disble this ad
My wife is going back to school and my daughter just had surgery so I am in need of cash to pay student loans and medical bills. This is my HMR Guitars single cut 5 string. It has a Bartolini NTMB 918 5.4 A/P (set up 9 volt) with Dimarzio ultra j pups. The body is ash with a beautiful burl maple top with matching headstock. The neck and board are both maple and its set up real nice with low action. The quality of the build is top notch and only weighs about 8.5 pounds. String spacing is 19mm and has a killer slap tone. It sounds real nice. $1450 shipped NO TRADES. This bass was custom built in the USA by Ron at HMR guitars. You wont find a better boutique single cut at this price.

Edit: Opening up to trades plus cash to me.

Lower end 5 strings or acoustic elctric guitars.

Neat! How does it play? Can you compare it to anything feel-wise?

Is it a 34 or 35"? Describe the low B?

And tonewise, do the single coils have that nice growl/bark jazz bass tone to them?

It looks amazing!

35" scale. The B is nice and solid. The neck feels similar to my lakland and is thin and fast. The pickups sound amazing and sounds like a killer jazz bass. Thanks for the bump.

Thanks for the vid Bassboi. This bass is very versatile. Here is a little video of a cover my band did a few weeks ago so you can see it in action. Blake Shelton - God Gave Me You - YouTube

Thanks man, it really is a great bass and out of all of the basses I have owned lately, this is the one I have held on to. I'm narrowing down to just one bass right now, WHAT-ONE BASS?? Yea I know but I'm switching to acoustic in my band and only play bass at church now, plus I could really use the money right now.

Any offers for an American made boutique single cut 5? One of the best sounding basses I have owned.

Also, opening it up to trades plus a chunk of cash to me.

Lower end 5 strings, or acoustic electric guitars.

Throw anything you got at me. I'm more of an active guy though, and like wider string spacings.

19mm, serious good single coils splits, great bass for the $$$.

How does the sound/action compare to the Modulus?

Bump
