I got this on a trade not sure if I want to keep this in my bass herd or not. plus I like to try out alot of basses

I would like to keep this to trades for now if you hae something I want of lesser value we could work something out

JC Custom Buckeye Burl 5 string single cut

If you want to see it under construction, go to http://www.jcbasses.com and click on "progress blog," then "buckeye 5".

there are other threads on this bass out there it sold from $795 -over 1200 in the past year so who knows

here is some corrected info because some of the past posts were wrong !!

*Buckeye Burl Top
*Alder Body "Wings"
*Maple Neck Through
*Birdseye Maple Fretboard
*EMG J/P Pickups (in a humbucker shell)
*Hipshot Single String Bridge
*Bartolini Preamp
*Gotoh tuners Hardware
*Comes with SKB Freedom case

ok what people did or did not mention

* warwick style neck (chunky)
* large string spacing (think MTD looks .19)
* fit and finish not perfect
* there was some damage (build problems) above bridge pickup
* and around the tone knobs the buckeye had some structural issues (i.e damage/ I did fix it with epoxy and can be seen up close and I took some photos to try to show it, and is stronger then it ever would of been )

its a cool and fun looking and sounding bass if I keep it I will probally get it refinished in the future who knows

here is the original sellers post
FT FEELER: Beautiful JC Customs Buckeye Burl/Birdseye Maple

here are some fast pics I took ..
case

around the small knob you can see the epoxy slightly

ok as for trades, mostly looking for 5 strings, Electric uprights, Nice recording preamps, nice mics,

if you have it run it past me the most I will say is no!

for the people who asked cash price is $775 shipped!

Hello, is this a short scale bass? It looks like a 321/2 to 33 scale bass. I have a Cort Elrick RB 5 Natural Oil finish. 35 inch scale. Please tell tb the scale length. Thank you.
