FT-John Carruthers Custom Shop P Bass for a Sadowsky Metro 5

I have a one of a kind, unique custom shop John Carruthers 5 String P-Bass, Semi Hollow Body, Reversed Tele Headstock with a 35" scale beautiful birds-eye maple fretboard and neck, EMG 9V Active two band split P Pups with mid switches inside the cavity. The bass was designed to be a Right or Left handed bass. The left handed strap button hole has a black ebony dowel in it when I had the bass set up for right hand play. The neck is nice, action is low, B string is tight and focused. The story on this bass: It was built in 1991 for a session/touring bassist named Keith Rossier (pronounced ROJAY) out of LA. He sold the bass to Candy Chase who is and has been Bill Medley's (The Righteous Brothers) bassist for several years now . She owned it for about 3 months but had trouble getting her small hand to work on the wide neck so she sold it to her friend Craig Stull who then sold it to me. It is a superb custom bass. One of a kind. Baby Blue with Black Binding, ebony nut, Gotoh bridge w/ 19mm spacing, and Gotoh knobs and tuners. This bass weighs in at exactly 9.0 lbs on my digital scale. I put the bass at a trade value of $2000.The bass is in good condition. The neck is clean, the body has a bit of buckle rash(not through the paint) that was somewhat covered by a sticker of a girl sitting on a flaming 8 ball, and where the truss rod adjustment notch is looks like it had been touched up from a nick where some dumb ass tried to make a neck adjustment with the neck on.. The finish is a semi gloss satin baby blue with black binding. This has been a players bass and it sounds incredible. I have owned her for 5 years now and I would love to have a used Sadowsky 5 String Metro PJ 5 or Jazz 5 in trade for her or tell me what other kinds of 5 strings you may have to offer in trade. I would consider Fender Deluxe Jazz 5's with maple fretboards only also. I have a slue of pics for you, especially the detailed nut and neck pocket work done by Yarsa Kopa, a well known Czek Luthier here in the Midwest region who is tedious at proper setups and nut work. John Carruthers was also contacted by me recently and he remembers the bass very well. I will send many more pics if you are interested. Will ship in a new Fender Tweed Deluxe gig bag wrapped and boxed very well to the US Cont States. Check out the link about John Carruthers: http://www.carruthersguitars.com/

Thanks MaddAnthony! I don't think these people on here have a clue who John Carruthers is and that he was elected by Leo himself to run the Custom Shop at Fender but declined because he opened his own shop in Venice,CA. One of the first builders to the stars. If you wanted a custom bass or guitar built in the L.A. area in the late 80's and early 90's, Carruthers shop is where most went. I think I may just hold onto this bass. I think when the time came to box it up and send it to a new owner that I would suddenly have serious issues with doing that. I don't know if I could bring myself to do it. I would do it for a Roger Sadowsky product though.
