Up for trade is my 1986 Kubicki Ex-Factor.
Here are the specs:
Alder body
Maple laminate neck with Ebony fingerboard w/drop D lever
Kubicki tuner/bridge
Kubicki 6-way 18v electronics
Kubicki humbucking pickups
Comes with a hardshell case
Weight 8.6lbs on my postage scale
Now for the good, bad and the ugly.
The good: The frets are in decent shape, truss rod works good and the electronics sound awesome. I just replaced the batteries w/a fresh set of Duracells. It is sporting a new set of Ernie Ball Slinkys. In addition, I have 2 unused sets of Kubicki strings and a set of used DR Black Beauties to go with it.
The Bad: Well, for a bass that is 24 years old, it looks good. However, there are some finish issues that need to be mentioned. There are chips/cracks/dents in the paint on the lower bout and the back. The neck has some wear on the treble side.
The Ugly: The previous owner installed an additional strap button, then removed it leaving a hole. Not a major issue, just an eyesore. On the lower bout next to the control cavity there is a crack in the body. It doesn't seem to have any structural issues (previous owner repaired it, maybe?). I was going to send it back to Phil, but have never gotten around to it. I actually considered having it refinished, but since I've decided to let it go, I will let the new owner make that determination.
What I'm looking for:
Roscoe 5-6 strings
Sadowsky Modern 5
Spector NS4
I will add cash depending on the trade. I will entertain all trade offers, but these are the ones I am gassing after... For the moment... Pm me with your trade offers. For those asking what an outright sale price would be... 1495.00 shipped in the Cont. U.S. Thanks.
