FT: Lakland Skyline 55-02

I bought this new from Bass Specialties in Bensalem, PA early last month. It's very comfortable and plays like butter, but I just can't get used to a 5 string bass. The 35" scale is quite nice and I don't even notice it while playing.

This bass has never been brought outside my room since purchase; it still has the plastic cover on the control cavity! No scratches, scuffs, or blems. Comes with DR Long Necks and Schaller Straplocks.

I'm interested in a Jazz-style bass or perhaps a Stingray. Looking for anything from an American Jazz Standard or Deluxe to a Sadowsky Metro and anything in-between. Cash can flow in whatever direction necessary. Don't hesitate to PM me an offer.

Ships in a Lakland gig bag UPS Ground (expedited shipping possible). Double boxed and packed by the UPS Store so insurance is as smooth as possible in the case of damage. Paypal e-check only. I will not mark the payment as a "gift" because one loses liability insurance that way.

That said, please shoot me a PM!

For whatever reason Lakland used this piece even though it has a knot right by the strap button. I personally don't mind it -- that's what separates a Skyline from a USA model, I suppose -- but I just don't want you to have any surprises.

Some audio samples to whet your whistle!

"Family Tree" by Ben Kweller -- passive, equal pickup blend.

"Emergency" by Paramore -- active, 75% towards the MM pickup with both coils selected for two riffs. The third riff is completely on the MM pickup with the rear coil selected. Only the opening verse part is played.

I weighed the bass on my scale today. 10 lbs, 2 oz. Not too bad for a 5 stringer and certainly within Lakland's acceptable range.

I am also now considering other trades. A 44-02 Deluxe would be killer, but shoot anything at me.
