FT Lakland Skyline Bob Glaub Mint with case

Sign in to disble this ad
I recently got this and was thinking of keeping but gas gets the better of me all the time lol. Its a 2010 model, its pleked, setup with low action and new ghs brite flatwounds. It is Black with rosewood fretboard, and stock tort guard on it. It has the standard precision neck for this model, 1.75 i believe but to me more comfortable neck than the 62 reissue p model from fender. It sounds nice unamplifed very resonant and has the lakland hansen pickup in it. I like the bass but im considering other bass's for trades, i was gonna trade for a amplifer but i bought one locally with christmas money and such.

note: I changed the strings of the bass because i didn't like the sound at my gig on new years eve. It drastically improved the tone and output of the bass. Its much nicer now, thought i had to replace the pickup but nope its a good one.

Trades:

Warwick bass's

Spector Bass's

Ernie Ball Bass's

Gibson Bass's

Fender Bass's

Custom Bass's

Dingwall Bass's

Lakland bass's i.e 44-02 55-02 etc etc

Rickenbacker bass's

all it says on the specs on the lakland website is New Lakland Hybrid Split Pickup for the skyline model. thats for skyline and american models as well. i just read a thread now that says neopunch are standard on them so i guess neopunch, since i haven't modded the bass at all.

Just FYI, if you look at the wiring, if it's cloth covered, they are fralins (vintage). If not, they are the neo-punch.

Nice. You posted that you were going to check the wiring harness to see if they are Fralin with cloth wiring versus the neo-punch pickups. What's the verdict?

PM me if you have a cash price in mind, shipped out to L9C in Ontario?

It's a 2010 and as duff84 said it would definitely be a Lakland pickup by that point and not a Fralin. The question earlier was whether it was a vintage Lakand pickup or the NeoPunch pickup. I don't think there is any difference in wiring between the two in order to tell but the stock Skyline specs would have it with a NeoPunch and since it wasn't modded I think duff84's assumption that it's a NeoPunch is probably accurate.

ya it appears to be a neo punch but i have second thoughts since when i played it at my show it sounded very old school sounding like old precisions used to so, it might be possible its a vintage one not the neopunch, seeing those are more aggressive and all. ill shoot you a pm thanks johnny.

Thanks for clearing that up. I'm not up to speed on Lakland's pickups, plus I got lost in the plot.
