FT: MIJ Fender 75 Reissue Jazz PJ

Sign in to disble this ad
Up for trade is my MIJ Fender 75 reissue Jazz with PJ pickups. I bought it new from Ishibashi about 1 year ago. I've traded out the stock tuners and bridge for Hipshot Ultralight tuners and a Gotoh 201 bridge. They were installed by a local luthier, who also did a setup. Original hardware is NOT included. This also comes with a Roadrunner gig bag. Weight between 9.0 and 9.5 lbs.

The bass is lightly used, and in excellent condition. It's got a slight hole in the clear coat finish on the lower front (lower right on second pic below), and a small scratch on the headstock (couldn't get good pic). Cosmetic issues, but I'm noting them. The bass sounds and plays great.

Here's a new one from Ishibashi:
Fender Japan /JB75PJ 3TS フェンダージャパン ジャズベース 《2つの特典付き!:80032》: エレキベース【イシバシ楽器 WEB SHOP】 楽器通販専門店

I'm looking to trade it for the following:
Bongo 5HH
Bongo 5HS
Carvin SB5000

The back of the neck, by the neck plate, says 'Made in Japan'.

I'm really looking to trade, but I'd consider a sale. How about $925 shipped via paypal, or make me an offer.

Make me an offer bump, plus some updated trade bait. Might be interested in a 4 string with a wider neck, like a 2008 or later Fender American Standard P or even a recent vintage Stingray.

Bongo 5HS
Carvin SB5000
2008 or later Fender American Std P

Was there a p/j config in '75 that was still labeled as a jazz?

Why didn't anyone ever tell me bossa nova sounded so good?

I have no idea. I was only 5 years old at the time.
