Got this with the intention to trade or sell it. A lovely bass, this is in my opinion the best of the three F-basses I've had. Could be the longer upper horn and the other two being six-strings... Great tones, great playability, really versatile.

Looking for either something bog-standard than can be resold with minimal fuss or something interesting: five-six strings, looks like a coffee table, really anorak, hopefully 'will get you mugged in a funky dive.' Would go for partial trades either way.

edit: Bass is in Finland as am I
edit2: the finish has come off under two of the strings on the pickup - I should make clear that before trading this bass I would want to swap many photos which show both basses very well, as I don't want either party to be disappointed. I feel the strength of this bass is in the resonance of the one-piece ash body and the snap from the maple neck, not in the pristine condition.

mmm not really looking to sell at this time. Since the market is what it is, I feel that selling the Smith and the Skjold were hard enough blows.

Also: the tone knob IS on the bass now. There was some gunk on it and I cleaned it carefully - good as new now.

Thumbs up

My Studio 5 is my favorite of the F Basses I've played/owned. Good luck with the trade.

Location & Shipping

Are you in Finland (like your profile said) or here in USA? I'm interested, and I have a bass that may interest you, I just wanna sure about shipping issues.

Thanks
Anton

Yes, I live in Finland - shipping rate for an electric bass is from USD 130 to USD 150 this way and a little more for me - hence my wish for something out of the ordinary.

Yes. I will supply more photos as required, and today looks like there'll be clear skies --> better light.

It's a very dark purple. Kind of like dried blueberries. Almost blue, but not quite, definitely not an 80's purple. Still, the colour approaches 'silicone marital enhancement toy' in the right (wrong?) lightning.

pics! Here's the front of the body, and a closeup of the rear pickup. Don't know what to make of it, really. Doesn't go deep in the wood, though.

and more pics. Marks on the back are shallow, and as you can see, photographs can both reveal and conceal. It's all in the angle of the light.
